A land that we grew up in.
Heritage is everything
Born in Guatemala City, Alejandro grew up in Lake Atitlán, where three beautiful volcanoes crown the lake and beautiful colours fill all its villages, each one with different cultures and ways of working.
Later, after many years spent in European countries, the lack of color and new vibes in European style of dressing gave him the idea to combine culture and style to see what it can bring if combined correctly.
All of this is an important key that would come back to be useful for the foundation of what Fonsatti is today.
Fair and friendly commerce
We believe in hand made products to protect both the consumer and worker, this because they are threatened due to underpriced industrial merchandise appropriating indigenous patterns that have flooded the market, depriving many native women and men of their main source of income.
Because of this, Fonsatti keeps its philosophy simple and clear: 100% Guatemalan products, handmade and all natural. With this way of doing things, the community that works on the professional side behind the art pieces you get take their fair share of salary and decency that can make them go on conducting a normal life.
